Project & Brand Overview

Shop Repurpose is a non-profit organization founded by renowned stylist Jessie Freschl, which funds initiatives to provide job readiness training, personal development, mentorship, and scholarships, to under-resourced individuals seeking a career in the fashion industry. Shop Repurpose receives donations of pre-worn luxury apparel and accessories, which they then sell and use the proceeds to educate and empower individuals in the fashion industry, promote sustainability, and cultivate a community of like-minded people.

Brief

Elevating a fashion-for-good non-profit’s profile

Based in New York City, Shop Repurpose wanted to expand its brand footprint to the Hamptons, which is a natural extension of the luxury market in NY. They engaged PopUpSummer! to help conceive and program a summer of activations throughout the Hamptons, where they could host new and existing clients, encourage and receive donations, and sell items.

Strategy

PopUpSummer! researched, pitched, and engaged multiple high-end venues in the Hamptons, including retailers and wellness studios, indoors and out, where Shop Repurpose was able to host events and pop-ups for one to five days and establish new customers. The organization plans to return to the area soon for an exclusive sales event.

Throughout the month-long tour, PopUpSummer! cross-promoted Shop Repurpose events through our social, email, and press channels.
