Project and Brand Overview

Austin, TX-based apparel and interiors brand Katie Kime started making prints for furniture, clothing, and stationery in 2013. Before the founder, who lent her name to the brand, knew it, her creative passion had fledged into a print-based design studio, guided by the belief that a life well-lived is rich with adventure, connection, and meaning. 

Katie Kime tapped PopUpSummer! to help them ideate and activate their first official pop-up in the Hamptons. Once brand and sales goals were established for the pop-up and a thorough review of retail store and mobile options were made, the company landed on an airstream activation, which became known as the KK Cabana.

  • PopUpSummer! provided recommendations and introductions to Katie Kime, which led to their participation in multiple high-visibility public, non-profit, hospitality, and private events during the summer season. The strategic selection of dozens of potential partners and pitching key contacts also laid the groundwork for future collaborations and activities for them in the market.PopUpSummer! guided the brand to thoughtful, like-minded, high-impact partners for a range of activations across multiple towns in the Hamptons, including retailers, vineyards, polo fields, and hospitality, aligning with non-profits.Throughout the season, PopUpSummer! cross-promoted Katie Kime’s activations through our social, email, and press channels.
